What is Arundo?
The homeopathic remedy Arundo is given for acute hay fever-like symptoms. It is used for acute or seasonal hay fever symptoms such as burning and itching eyes, recurring sneezing attacks and allergy-related deep-seated itching in the ears, as well as dust and dust mite allergies. Arundo can soothe allergic tears. The remedy is now also known in classical medicine for its effectiveness.

How do you recognize patients who need Arundo?
The patients show spasmodic sneezing fits with characteristically severe itching in the palate, also in the eyes and nose. The symptoms can lead to inflammation of the paranasal sinuses with impairment of the ability to smell and bronchial asthma. You cough staccato and suffer from shortness of breath, which is only relieved by a supply of fresh air. The airways hurt.
Arundo adults oscillate between being anxious and cheerful. You don’t like to talk. Their thoughts can often not be calmed down when they revolve around a problem.
Arundo children often pick their noses with a finger when they are sick. Cracked corners of the mouth are often noticeable. They sleep poorly and cry frequently during the night.

Hay fever / allergic rhinitis
Hay fever with intense burning of the eyes and itching of the mucous membranes of the airways, especially the palate. The sense of smell is limited.
Dosage: 3 times a day 3 globules in the potency D6
Dosage forms of Arundo
Arundo can be taken to prevent allergic/pollen-related colds before the predicted pollen count.
We recommend low potencies of up to D6 with a three-day administration of 5 globules. Alternatively, tablets (once daily) can be administered in the same potency. If the symptoms improve, the drug may be discontinued.

Arundo and Sabadilla are helpful in hay fever with severe itching of the palate. Frequent sneezing is noticeable with Sabadilla. Touching the palate with the tongue relieves the itching in Sabadilla.
