What is Barium Iodatum?
The application of barium iodatum in homeopathy is almost identical to that of barium chloratum. It is considered a glandular remedy, which has a particularly good effect on the thyroid gland, tonsils and mammary glands. Very often, the remedy is also used for heart disease, hypertension and arteriosclerosis. Basically, barium iodatum is rarely used in homeopathy.

Application information
Dosage form of barium iodatum
Globules are given in low potency from D4 to D12.
Barium iodate dosage
Barium iodide is given three times a day with five globules in the recommended potencies D4 to D12. Chronic diseases are also treated with potencies from D30 upwards.
Barium iodate during pregnancy
Barium iodide can be given as an alternative to barium chloratum in cases of severe vomiting during pregnancy.
Barium iodate side effects
Patients with known thyroid diseases should only take barium iodatum after consulting a doctor. In the case of hypersensitivity to iodine, the agent may only be administered from potency D4.

Barium jodatum shows similarities to Barium carbonicum in the drug picture. Signs of Barium jodatum are less sensitivity to cold, greater weight loss and more appetite than Barium carbonicum.
