What is potassium sulfuricum?
Potassium sulfuricum is considered a mucous membrane agent. It is used for the homeopathic treatment of inflammation of the larynx, throat and middle ear, eardrum inflammation, inflammation of the paranasal sinuses as well as conjunctivitis (conjunctivitis) and coughs. It is used for white discharge, rheumatic complaints, inflammation of the gastric mucosa and inflammation of the kidneys that occur after scarlet fever.

How do you recognize patients who need potassium sulfuricum?
Potassium sulfuricum shows creamy-yellow secretions from the mucous membranes. When coughing, there is a rattling, sticky, damp feeling in the chest. The skin is prone to purulent eczema and ulcers, from which yellow, foul-smelling secretion is secreted. The tongue has a slimy yellow coating.
Rheumatic complaints are described as changeable (“wandering rheumatism”). The patients snore, are depressed and quickly cry, are constantly in a hurry, and sweat profusely even without physical exertion.

When you breathe, it rattles, sticky and damp, in your chest. The cough is accompanied by yellow thick sputum. The pharynx and larynx burn inflamed and secrete purulent secretions.

Inflammation of the mucous membranes, accompanied by yellow, viscous secretions. The eyes and airways are particularly affected. Women complain of increased cycle-independent discharge (fluoride albus).

Application information
Dosage forms of potassium sulfuricum
Potencies between 2X and 30X are used for oral administration, and 6X for injections and infusions.
Potassium sulfuricum dosage
For skin diseases, five globules D6 three times a day or five globules D30 once a day are enough. Coughs, colds and ear infections are treated with three doses of D12. In the case of stubborn secretion, it is advisable to administer the agent up to five times a day.
Headaches are treated with low potencies and the remedy is given when needed. If these symptoms recur due to certain triggers, a dose of D30 should be administered once a day. In the case of acute headaches, three to five globules of D6 dissolved in water are taken every half hour until the symptoms noticeably improve.
Potassium sulfuricum during pregnancy
Potassium sulfuricum is suitable for the treatment of pregnancy headaches and depressive moods. Due to hormonal changes and physical changes, these occur frequently, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.
The remedy can also be given to treat pregnancy acne, dry skin and mucous membranes. It is particularly suitable for pregnant women who suffer from psoriasis or neurodermatitis. Potassium sulfuricum may be used throughout pregnancy.
Side Effects of Potassium Sulfuricum
There are no known side effects of Kali sulfuricum.
