What is Rauwolfia?
Rauwolfia is used in homeopathic medicine mainly to treat high blood pressure and depressive moods. In the case of heart problems, palpitations, irregular heartbeat and heart stitches are the main symptoms.
Before the patients really suffer from a depressive mood with tiredness, exhaustion and difficulty concentrating, they have increased mood swings.
Rauwolfia can be indicated for colds with pronounced dryness of the nasal mucous membranes and a tendency to bleed. The patients generally complain of an extraordinarily great feeling of heat all over the body. The sweat sticks and smells bad.

Gastrointestinal complaints

Rauwolfia is mainly used in homeopathy as globules.
Rauwolfia dosage
The potencies 6X and 12X are used to treat physical ailments. They will be given if necessary. If the symptoms improve, Rauwolfia is no longer taken. Therapists primarily treat depressive moods with the potencies C30 and C200. Rauwolfia is only taken once at these intervals.
Rauwolfia effect
Rauwolfia acts mainly on the central nervous system, but also on the digestive tract and the nasal mucosa.
Rauwolfia in pregnancy
Rauwolfia is not used to treat typical pregnancy symptoms. However, it can be given – under medical supervision – in the event of high blood pressure, depressive moods or sleep disorders during pregnancy if the symptoms indicate Rauwolfia.
Rauwolfia for the baby
Rauwolfia is not usually prescribed for infants and children.
Rauwolfia for dogs, horses & cats
Rauwolfia is given to animals that are wide awake during the night and cannot sleep. Rauwolfia is also prescribed for animals with high blood pressure.
Rauwolfia side effects
So far there is no evidence of side effects when taking Rauwolfia. Only at the beginning of the intake can there be a short-term worsening of the symptoms as part of an initial reaction. In the event of an overdose – taking Rauwolfia too frequently or for too long – aggravation of the symptoms is to be expected.
Typical potencies: Rauwolfia is mainly used in the potencies 6X, 12X, 30C and 200C.
