In homeopathy, Sabadilla is given for mental illnesses that are associated with severe fears and delusions, including mental upsets.
It is effective against allergic reactions, cramps and migraines. It can also be used to treat worms.

How do you recognize patients who need Sabadilla?
Sabadilla shows dried out mucous membranes. One suffers from the constant urge to sneeze, a runny nose and dry, light and draught-sensitive eyes with a feeling of pressure on the eyeballs. The secretions thicken. A nostril is clogged, you breathe while snoring. Odors are misperceived. The throat is sore, inflamed, one clears one’s throat a lot with slight blood admixtures, has painful, spasmodic swallowing difficulties with a foreign body sensation and a lot of sweetish salivation.
Sore throat starts on the left, moves to the right. The right tonsil is swollen, hardened. Ears hurt or itch. The extremities burn, are paralyzed and tremble. Feet swell while walking, are heavy, soles sensitive. The face appears puffy and red, feels warm. Sabadilla shivers a lot, has cravings for sweet and hot food, at times abhors meat, wine and sour foods. Stomach cramps with emptiness when walking. Burning in the rectum or urethra after defecation and urination.
Sabadilla patients are hyper-nervous, react hysterically, startled and afraid that body parts will shrink. You are prone to mania and anger, need to calm yourself with cold water on your head. During mental exertion, she is overcome by leaden fatigue, headaches in the forehead or temples, and there are visual and hearing disorders. Concentration is generally lacking. Characteristic of Sabadilla are periodically recurring complaints at the same time of day, often in the morning and at full and/or new moon.

Headache migraine

Application information
Dosage forms of sabadilla
One treats almost exclusively orally up to D12. The remedy should be kept separately.
Sabadilla dosage
For the treatment of acute hay fever symptoms, Sabadilla is mainly used in the lower potencies. The 6X potency can be given up to 5 times a day and the 12X potency up to 2 times a day. If the symptoms improve, no further intake takes place.
Chronic complaints are treated by therapists with the potency C30. This is given at intervals of several weeks.
Sabadilla effect
Sabadilla acts on the central nervous system, the mucous membranes of the respiratory and digestive organs and the circulatory system.
Sabadilla in pregnancy
During pregnancy, previously mild hay fever symptoms can become much worse. Sabadilla can be helpful for the baby gently and with no side effects.
Sabadilla is also used to treat morning sickness. Burning pains in the stomach and severe nausea plague the women. A sweet taste in the mouth and copious amounts of saliva are indicators of sabadilla. There is a great aversion to meat. The women suffer from loss of appetite, which, however, passes with the first bite.

Sabadilla is considered a helpful remedy for treating infant colds. The nose is running. The secreted secretion is clear as water. The eyes are reddened and shed tears profusely. Babies are very sensitive to cold. A warm bath and wrapping yourself in a warm blanket relieve the symptoms.
Sabadilla for dog, horse and cat
Sabadilla is used in animals to treat colds. The animals have inflamed eyes and are plagued by sneezing fits. The cold often occurs in damp, cold weather. The animals are very chilly. The symptoms improve in the warmth.
Sabadilla side effects
There are no known side effects of Sabadilla. Symptoms can worsen if taken too frequently and at the start of treatment. The intake is then to be paused.
