She Oak is an Australian flower remedy made from Casuarina glauca. Useful in case of inner conflicts, it is also indicated in case of hormonal imbalances and menopause problems. Let’s find out better.
Description of the plant
Casuarina glauca – Casuarina is a water-loving tree used to stabilize sandy coasts, and one of the first trees to evolve on our planet. The name of the genus casuarina derives from the genus of birds Casuarius, large cassowary, unable to fly, whose feathers resemble the drooping branches of the tree.
Casuarina glauca grows in swampy areas, along slow-flowing rivers or near stagnant watercourses subject to tides. The common name She Oak derives from the first settlers who used the wood of the tree to build furniture and houses, considering it the ‘oak of the poor‘.
It is a straight tree with sparse and drooping branches and leaves similar to conifers.
The female flowers appear in globular flower heads with the styles hanging outwards to catch the wind: the way in which the flowers of this plant seem to catch the wind is similar to the way in which the fallopian tubes receive the ova produced by the ovaries. Furthermore, the fruit of the female flowers is the same size as human oocytes.
With these flowers, the She Oak remedy is prepared which symbolically brings its energetic strength to regularizing female hormonal imbalances. The male flowers of She Oak grow thickly in long spikes at the ends of the branches, giving the tree a reddish tint.
Property of She Oak
- Specific action on hormonal imbalances, premenstrual syndrome, cycle irregularities, menopause problems
- Indicated for all problems of dryness and dehydration of the skin but also at the level of the uterus and vagiena (it can be added to creams and gels for skin application) and for fluid retention related to the menstrual cycle. The uterus is the matrix that represents the female identity and her creative capacity in the body. Problems, confusions and dysfunctions in this area may indicate the presence of conflicts with being a woman that have an intimate relationship with one’s own experience of femininity.
- It is therefore useful in cases of inner conflicts and unconscious fears that undermine the relationship with one’s being a woman and with the feminine.
- In the case of men, it works on insecurities and doubts regarding the male condition and virility, as well as on one’s female part and the relationship with the female in general.

Preparation and use
In a 30 ml bottle, combine ¾ of natural water and ¼ of brandy to preserve the product; add 7 drops for each chosen flower. 7 drops of this personal blend are taken under the tongue, morning and evening, upon awakening and before bed.
The drops can also be applied locally as well, combined with neutral cream as a carrier, in the bath water or vaporized in the environment to create a harmonious place.
They can also be prepared without brandy, making sure that they do not degrade (if necessary, the preparation is repeated). They can be diluted in a little water or herbal tea, even for children.
The major function of the remedy is related to the emotional factors that inhibit the fertility of the woman, in the so-called premenstrual syndrome, in the irregularities and problems of the cycle, as well as in menopause. It has different dosages and protocols with respect to the various problems. Its action on infertility problems and conception difficulties attributed to emotional blocks and psychological problems, in the absence of physical pathologies, is to bring balance to the emotional discomforts that can unconsciously make conception difficult.
Recommended by many gynecologists and in hospitals in Brazil and Switzerland, instead of ‘hormone replacement therapy’ in menopause, according to specific protocols, and as an adjunct in the prevention of osteoporosis, maintaining a high level of hormones, with its balancing action on the ovaries.
