Mountain Devil: properties, benefits and uses (Australian Flower Essence and Remedy)

Mountain Devil is an Australian flower remedy made from Lambertia formosa. Indicated in divorces and separations because it helps to develop generositygiving and sharing. Let’s find out better.

Description of the plant

Lambertia formosa – ‘devil of the mountains’, a common name that derives from the fruit that with the two protuberances resembles the devil’s head, and from the mountainous area in which the plant grows, the Blue Mountains.

The genus Lambertia includes nine species, eight of which grow in the southern part of Western Australia, and the ninth (Mountain Devil) on these mountains. Formosa means ‘beautiful’. It is an upright shrub, 1 to 3 meters tall, with green glossy leaves with pointed tips. It can survive long periods of drought.

The inflorescence consists of tubular flowers, enclosed by long red bracts, and the young and green fruits, when they dry, take on a dull brown color and remain on the stems for many years, a bit like the old grudges and resentment on which it acts the essence, requiring a fire (fire) purifier to be eliminated.

When the woody fruit finally opens, typically after a fire, it releases two winged seeds. Often, the plant is surrounded by insects attracted to the abundant reserves of nectar of the flowers.

Mountain Devil property

  • It helps develop generositygiving and sharing, fostering connection with unconditional love and acceptance, as well as the possibility of forgiveness. It is the most important remedy for the lack of love, towards others and towards oneself.
  • It favors the rebalancing of all situations in which there is a lack of love and respect, and there are jealousy, anger, resentment, hatred, envy, suspicion that block the expression of love. In these cases, it favors a greater understanding of one’s anger, facilitating its balanced expression and taking responsibility for one’s actions, blaming others less frequently.
  • Indicated for example in divorces, separations and in situations where there are claims and manipulation, helping to highlight the best part of oneself.
  • It fosters better professional relationships based on cooperation rather than competition.

Preparation and use

In a 30 ml bottle, combine ¾ of natural water and ¼ of brandy to preserve the product; add 7 drops for each chosen flower. 7 drops of this personal blend are taken under the tongue, morning and evening, upon awakening and before bed.

The drops can also be applied locally as well, combined with neutral cream as a carrier, in the bath water or vaporized in the environment to create a harmonious place.

They can also be prepared without brandy, making sure that they do not degrade (if necessary, the preparation is repeated). They can be diluted in a little water or herbal tea, even for children.

Mountain Devil can help children who show jealousy when a new baby arrives in the family.

The difference with Dagger Hakea as remedies for forgiveness in situations of anger, hatred, resentment is that Mountain Devil is generally recommended for people who are not very intimate, while Dagger Hakea is more suitable when the feelings are directed towards people of family, friends and close people.
