When is Galphimia glauca used?

Homeopaths use Galphimia glauca for allergic reactions affecting the eyes, nose and respiratory tract. This is what happens with hay fever, for example. In pronounced cases, such an allergy can lead to shortness of breath. In most cases, however, only the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose are affected. For example, patients have burning, red eyes and a runny nose and swollen nasal mucosa.

In addition, Galphimia glauca is also said to be helpful in allergic skin reactions.

To produce the homeopathic medicine, alcohol is added to dried twigs of the golden rain plant with blossoms. The extract is then gradually diluted and “shaken”. This is how you get the different potencies of Galphimia glauca.

Typical diseases and conditions that are said to respond well to Galphimia glauca are:

  • hay fever
  • other allergies
  • allergic conjunctivitis

The following symptoms and complaints point to Galphimia glauca as a suitable homeopathic remedy:

Homeopaths also treat allergic reactions and especially hay fever in small and large children with Galphimia glauca.

What characterizes the Galphimia glauca type?

There are no homeopathic type descriptions for Galphimia glauca. Typical of the sick people who are supposed to benefit from this homeopathic remedy is severe exhaustion from the allergy. The sick feel “like under tranquilizers” (sedatives).

How is Galphimia glauca used?

The homeopathic single remedy is used classically in the form of small globules. However, it is also available in the form of homeopathic drops or tablets.

There is also a large number of homeopathic combination preparations for hay fever on the market. Most contain Galphimia glauca in varying potencies.

Globules are suitable for self-treatment of an allergy such as hay fever. To treat acute ailments, use Galphimia glauca 4X or 6X. If necessary, you can take three globules of these potencies every half hour. In total, however, it should not be more than twelve doses per day.

Homeopathic medicines have no side effects. However, if the symptoms worsen after the start of intake (initial worsening), the intake of Galphimia glauca must be interrupted.
