What is benzoic acid?
Acidum benzoicum is used to regulate the uric acid level in uric acid diathesis, a metabolic disorder in which excessive amounts of uric acid are detected in the blood. Too much uric acid leads to a general over-acidification of the body and causes gout, joint swelling and muscle problems.

Acidum benzoicum classically shows a dark-colored urine that smells very strongly of ammonia. Body excretions have a sour odor, stool is foamy white. There is deep-seated, stabbing back pain, tearing joint pain with cracking when moving and red swellings over the joints, as well as unbearable stabbing in the Achilles tendons.

Oral therapy uses potencies from D2 to D6, with infusions/syringes dilutions D4 and higher.
Acidum benzoicum dosage
Acute rheumatic complaints are primarily treated with the potencies 6X and 12X. Acidum benzoicum is given in potency 6X up to six times a day and in potency 12X up to twice a day.
