In the typical appearance and drug picture of Latrodectus mactans, there are cramp-like painful complaints in the left chest, which extend to the left armpit, arm, hand and fingers. Associated with this is a feeling of numbness on this side. The left arm is paralyzed, feels numb, trembles. One develops cold sweats, fear of suffocation, a painfully tense upper abdomen. The legs cannot be raised.
The skin changes from pale to blue in color, looks white-red marbled. Blood tests indicate severe hemolysis. The pulse is faintly palpable, fluttering, averaging 130 beats per minute. The blood pressure is increased. Head and abdomen feel swollen. The patient feels mortal fear, the mouth twists into an anxious oval. A slow, forward-bent gait is characteristic, with the hands placed protectively in front of the stomach.
