Podophyllum feels cramping pains in the upper and lower abdomen, audible and tactile gurgling noises and contraction of the intestines.
The need for stool occurs spontaneously, painlessly and extremely urgently, with large amounts pouring out in a pulpy consistency or as a squirting liquid. Feces may contain undigested food, blood, and mucus.

Application information
Dosage forms of Podophyllum
Up to D3, Podophyllum requires a prescription. Potencies between 4X to 6X are given orally and invasively, and up to 12X depending on the appearance. The remedy can be supplemented with sodium chloratum (Natrium muriaticum).
Podophyllum dosage
In acute cases, five globules of Podophyllum D6 are given every hour until the symptoms noticeably subside. In the case of diarrhea, the drug is administered after a bowel movement. In general, a course of treatment with Podophyllum should not exceed three days.

Podophyllum helps pregnant women with uterine and intestinal ailments that are only relieved by lying on their stomach. Causes here are mostly flatulence, stomach pain, diarrhea, but also hemorrhoids or uterine changes. The remedy is suitable for postnatal therapy when the described symptoms appear, especially when there is pain in the region of the right ovary, which is aggravated when the legs are stretched out.
