According to Schuessler, Schuessler salt No. 8 sodium chloratum (sodium chloride) regulates the fluid and heat balance. It is recommended, for example, for water retention in the body, dry skin and mucous membranes and high fluid loss (e.g. due to diarrhea). In addition, these Schuessler salts are said to help with allergy and arthrosis symptoms.
What is Schuessler salt no. 8: sodium chloratum?
Sodium chloride is also commonly known as cooking or table salt. Ingested through food, as many sodium and chloride ions as are needed enter the organism via the gastrointestinal tract. As one of the most important electrolytes in the human body, sodium plays a key role in regulating the water balance.
The medicine of Dr. Schuessler also ascribes an important role in water regulation to the mineral sodium chloratum, which is produced from pure table salt.
The heat balance should also be regulated by sodium chloratum and the metabolism of tendons, ligaments, cartilage, intervertebral discs or eyes should be activated. In addition, this mineral should according to Dr. Schuessler the mucous membranes form by binding mucus.
According to these functions, sodium chloratum is used when there is an accumulation of water in the body (edema) or excessive fluid loss occurs, for example due to watery eyes, heavy sweating or diarrhea. Dry skin or dry mucous membranes are therefore usually treated with sodium chloratum.
Schuessler Salt No. 8 is said to promote cell division and have a detoxifying and cleansing effect. Therefore, non -medical practitioners administer these Schuessler salts for arthrosis and gout. In addition, the cleansing effect of these Schuessler salts is said to alleviate hay fever.
Symptoms of sodium chlorate deficiency
If there is a deficiency of sodium chloratum, according to Dr. Schuessler’s medicine various complaints occur.
However, Schuessler salts are not a dietary supplement. They only contain the eponymous salt in homeopathic doses and therefore cannot directly compensate for a corresponding salt deficiency. The aim of taking Schuessler salts is to alleviate symptoms that are similar to those that would occur with a corresponding salt deficiency. The Schuessler salt should also work if there is a completely different cause behind the symptoms. These include, among other things:
- Runny nose, hay fever, sinus problems
- dry skin, dandruff, insect bites, burn injuries
- Fluid loss through perspiration, watery, but also dry eyes
- much or little thirst, craving for salty or spicy foods
- constipation or diarrhea
- heartburn
- Sensitivity to cold or drafts, cold hands and feet
- Intervertebral disc and cartilage damage, noises in the joints when moving, general rheumatic complaints
- inflammation of the bladder or kidneys
In the case of serious illnesses such as bladder and kidney inflammation, the Schuessler salts are only recommended as a support, but not as the sole treatment. Such illnesses require conventional medical care in any case. Water retention in the body, prolonged diarrhea or constipation should also be clarified by a doctor.
Locations for sodium chloratum
If the stocks of sodium chloratum in the fluids of the body are empty, the organism falls back on the stores – mucous membranes and bones – according to Schuessler’s medicine. If the minerals are released from the mucous membranes of the nose, for example, according to Dr. Schuessler first liquid slime as a waste product. If the reservoirs are empty there too, the nasal mucous membranes dry out as a result.
Application of sodium chloratum
Sodium chloratum is recommended in the form of tablets for internal use or as an ointment for external use.
Internal use of sodium chloratum
Sodium chloride is recommended in the sixth potentization as sodium chloratum D6. According to the Chinese organ clock, it works best if the tablets are taken in the morning. The number of sodium chloratum D6 tablets depends on the severity of the deficiency.
External use of sodium chloratum
Applied thinly two to three times to the relevant areas of skin, sodium chloratum D6 ointment supports the treatment of dry skin and mucous membrane problems, for example.
Characteristic causes of sodium chloratum deficiency
According to Schuessler’s healing therapy, compulsive character traits consume Schuessler salts in the body. Schuessler Salts No. 8 are used up in particular when someone frequently experiences emotional roller coasters, i.e. is exposed to rapidly changing impressions and feelings (positive and negative). This often happens to people who make great efforts to meet the apparent expectations of others and are ultimately completely surprised and disappointed when the reactions of their fellow human beings are different than expected.
Those who want to free themselves from these structures can ask their fellow human beings directly about their expectations and wishes instead of trying to read their minds. This usually has a liberating effect and is also intended to counteract excessive consumption of sodium chloratum.
Signs of deficiency on the face
With the help of facial diagnosis, experienced therapists search for deficiency symptoms in the patient’s face. If there is a sodium chloratum deficiency, the following symptoms should occur:
- moist shine on the upper and lower eyelids
- dull shiny skin
- Nose and forehead glisten wet
- drip nose
More information about sodium chloratum
A quick effect should be achievable, for example, with a runny nose. More patience until Schuessler Salt No. 8 takes effect should be required in the treatment of cartilage or joint problems.
As a sign of the onset of action, cartilage pain may begin after taking sodium chloratum.
