What is Secale cornutum?
Secale cornutum is used in homeopathy to treat all types of uterine problems. Examples of this are cramps, (too) weak contractions, irregular menstruation or bleeding between periods.
Due to its toxic effect, Secale cornutum is also used for circulatory disorders. All complaints increase with heat and touch, and before and during the period; relief from cold, bathing, stretching, and exposure.

How do you recognize patients who need Secale cornutum?
Secale cornutum patients are flaccid-looking, thin women who often appear older than they are and have sunken eyes or dark circles under the eyes. They have a great aversion to heat, are reluctant to cover up, and suffer from burning sensations (“pins and needles”), freezing extremities, aching fingertips, and a dry, sticky, cracked tongue.
