The homeopathic sodium sulfuricum is used to treat liver diseases and the gastrointestinal complaints caused by them, especially in the case of recurring diarrhea, inflammation of the gastric mucosa and pathological changes in the gallbladder.
Sodium sulfuricum is also used for inflammation of the airways.

The typical Natrum sulfuricum person is pale, bloated and of a plump build. He shows a depressive mood and freezes quickly. He is aloof, dutiful and forced to be unemotional. He complains of oppressive headaches and is very sensitive to light.
Typical are greenish discharges from the nose, a green-tinged tongue coating with a bitter taste in the mouth and yellow-green, watery, explosive diarrhea with copious, sometimes painful flatulence in the morning. The patients do not tolerate milk, bread or cabbage and want salty foods. A lot of water is stored in the tissue. Teeth hurt when exposed to cold. They develop foul-smelling armpit sweats associated with moist rashes and warty skin lesions. One is asthmatic, coughs wet. When breathing, a wet rattle is audible. Green pus is coughed up, holding the chest with your hands to make it easier to cough up.

Globules are given in potencies 3X, 4X and 6X, and 6X is used for injections.
Sodium sulfuricum dosage
Sodium sulfuricum is given in the potency D6 up to three times a day. In the case of very severe symptoms, the remedy can initially be given at intervals of ten minutes. As soon as the symptoms improve, the dose intervals are increased. In the potency D12, the remedy is usually given once or twice a day.
Sodium sulfuricum effect
Natrum sulfuricum acts on the liver, respiratory tract, digestive tract and central nervous system.
Natrum sulfuricum during pregnancy
Natrum sulfuricum is not a remedy for treating typical pregnancy symptoms. It is used when there is a severe fever with no apparent cause several weeks after the birth.
Natrum sulfuricum for the baby
Natrum sulfuricum is given to newborns with intractable jaundice and children with asthma. The asthma attacks occur mainly early in the morning and are associated with great pain.
Natrum sulfuricum for dogs, horses and cats
Natrum sulfuricum has proven itself in the treatment of diarrhea in animals. The diarrhea occurs between 4 and 5 a.m. in the morning. First, loud bowel noises can be heard and the animals have gastric colic. The chair comes off with a loud noise. The mass of feces is unusually large.
Sodium sulfuricum side effects
So far, there are no known side effects of sodium sulfuricum. Symptoms can worsen if taken too frequently and at the beginning of treatment. The drug should then no longer be taken.
