What is tuberculin?
Tuberculinum is one of the homeopathic constitutional remedies. It is used for chronic complaints. The remedy is less suitable as an acute remedy for individual symptoms, but aims at a long-term, holistic strengthening of the state of health.

How do you recognize patients who need Tuberculinum?
Tuberculinum patients are pale, nervous and noticeably slim, with a weakened immune system. They are prone to herpes infections, allergies and colds, are extremely sensitive to the weather and quickly reach their personal physical and mental limits when they exert themselves. They are prone to chronic headaches/migraines, swollen lymph nodes and severe mood swings.
She is increasingly urged to move and travel. One complains of lack of appetite and disgust for food. Diarrhea and constipation occur alternately. Frequent stomach pains and nausea are reported. Respiratory diseases are accompanied by copious mucus production and pronounced shortness of breath. Tuberculinum tends to psoriasis, neurodermatitis and other skin eczema that heal with difficulty, are caused by food intolerance and keep coming back. Cold, wet weather causes back pain and tearing limbs.
The leg muscles twitch during sleep. Tuberculinum’s urinary system is prone to infection. Women and girls suffer from painful menstruation. Men show increased libido, the right testicle is swollen. Cold/ flu/ febrile infection
Tendency to colds, bacterial and viral infections, tonsillitis. Swollen lymph nodes. Allergies, food intolerance.

Fever
Shivering and hot cheeks, with increased need for fresh air. Cold sweat on upper half of body and palms. The face is strikingly red to violet.

Stiffness and pain that is more pronounced when standing and stationary than when moving.

STDs

Gastrointestinal complaints
Severe stomach pain with vomiting associated with a headache. Nocturnal cravings. Alternating diarrhea and constipation. Diarrhea occurs early in the morning at around five o’clock, leading to violent outbursts of sweat. In children, the diarrhea can last for weeks. Tolerance to smoked meat, otherwise violent dislike. Physical wasting from persistent diarrhea.

Application information
Dosage forms of Tuberculinum
High potencies from D30 upwards, more frequently C30, which are accordingly rarely administered, are common. In constitutional therapy, a weekly or monthly dose is considered sufficient. Low potencies should be coordinated with a homeopath.
Tuberculin dosage
The dosage of Tuberculinum depends on the symptoms and the constitution of the patient. It is therefore not possible to give a general recommendation for dosage and duration of use.
Tuberculinum in pregnancy
Since the typical Tuberculinum symptoms improve during pregnancy, the drug is rarely administered during this time. It should therefore never be administered as self-medication. Classic pregnancy symptoms can first be treated with other suitable homeopathic remedies and possibly supplemented with Tuberculinum. However, professional advice should be sought for this.
Side Effects of Tuberculinum
Tuberculinum must not be administered in the case of an existing tuberculosis disease. Coffee consumption should be suspended during therapy. The remedy can be combined well with other homeopathic medicines.
