The homeopathic use of Verbascum focuses primarily on the peripheral nervous system. Here the remedy is used successfully for trigeminal and other facial neuralgia.
However, rheumatic complaints, inner ear pain and complaints of the upper respiratory tract and the urinary bladder are also treated with Verbascum.

How do you recognize patients who need Verbascum?
Typical for the need for Verbascum are sharp, stabbing pains, which, starting from the jaw joints, spread over the face and auditory canals. The temples feel as if they were being crushed by a screw clamp. The ear canals appear increasingly blocked when speaking. The soles of the feet show crampy pressure pain, which then leads to paralyzing pain in the hip joints and limbs, especially in the muscles. Abdominal and chest pains, cutting. A stale to putrid taste spreads in the mouth. When speaking loudly, hoarseness and a deep cough set in, the pitch of the voice becomes dark.
The mood of the patients during the day is characterized by absent-mindedness and annoyance. Only in the evening does the mood improve. You sleep restlessly, getting up is difficult. Bladder problems and bladder infections
Irritable bladder with frequent urge to urinate. The amount of urine decreases continuously within 24 hours. Even with nocturnal urges to urinate.

Application information
Dosage form of Verbascum
Verbascum is preferably administered as needed in low potency from D2 or in the mother tincture.
Verbascum dosage
Five globules or five drops of the mother tincture dissolved in water are given three times a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased to five doses daily. If the symptoms subside noticeably, the dose is reduced or discontinued accordingly. Chronic bronchitis can be treated with Verbascum D30 once a day or twice a day.
Verbascum In pregnancy
Verbascum can be administered during pregnancy with stubborn bronchitis to support expectoration. The remedy has also proven effective in cystitis and frequent urge to urinate in an irritable bladder. However, pregnant women are recommended to use the homeopathic Verbascum only after consulting a homeopath.
Side Effects of Verbascum
There may be a temporary increase in the urge to urinate and a brief aggravation of the symptoms. These side effects should not last longer than an hour, otherwise the drug should be discontinued. Expert advice should be sought before treating infants and young children with Verbascum.
