What is Caulophyllum?

Application information

Dosage forms of Caulophyllum

Globules are given in the dilutions D2 to D4. For infusions, the potency is increased to D6, depending on the indication.

Caulophyllum dosage

Two to four weeks before the expected delivery date, five to ten drops or five to ten globules are given twice a day.

During childbirth, a dose of five globules/drops is given every quarter of an hour to accelerate the opening of the cervix.

Therapy alternating with Pulsatilla is indicated for rheumatic complaints. Dosage and level of the potencies are to be adapted to the individual complaints.

In the case of mouth ulcers and blisters, the remedy can be combined with Sulfur D2. The frequency of administration should ideally be tailored to the individual case.

Caulophilum in pregnancy

Caulophyllum therapy can already be started during pregnancy in order to optimally prepare for the birth. The remedy reduces the pain in the pelvic floor, which is caused by the stretching of the uterus.

It facilitates both labor and the opening of the cervix during childbirth. In women who tend to have miscarriages or premature births, the drug should only be administered in a low potency in consultation with a doctor or homeopath.

Side Effects of Caulophyllum

With the exception of a rapidly transient initial aggravation, no side effects are known. For pregnant women, it is advisable to use the product after consulting with a specialist. As soon as the symptoms improve, the drug should be discontinued.
