What is China officinalis?
China is given in homeopathy for extreme states of exhaustion and physical loss of strength, as occurs, for example, after a long illness (convalescence), especially after malaria, or in the case of dehydration and blood loss. There are also after births and surgeries.
The remedy is used for digestive problems caused by food intolerance (flatulence, diarrhea, gastritis). China can also provide relief for dizziness, rheumatic and menstrual complaints and liver diseases and is also used for infant jaundice.

How do you recognize patients who need China officinalis?
The patients are pale yellowish, the eyes are deeply sunk, surrounded by blue shadows. Your head seems to burst, you feel pain in the roots of your hair and think you are about to commit suicide. There are tinnitus noises in the ears and flickering in front of the eyes, accompanied by an increased feeling of pressure. The pupils are dilated and increased sensitivity to light makes reading difficult. Food always tastes bitter, tooth sensitivity occurs; nursing mothers get a toothache when suckling the baby. Cravings appear at night, otherwise there is a reluctance to eat. In general, an increased sensitivity to certain foods persists; especially after milk, tea and fruit, severe diarrhea with undigested parts, acid regurgitation or vomiting and spasmodic flatulence with a bloated abdomen. One must drink much and often, but only in small quantities, water being preferred. Ejacu|ations are painful and exhausting, menstruation is itchy, bloody and lumpy. Typically, symptoms recur periodically at intervals of 2, 7 or 14 days at the same time.
China officinalis adults are totally exhausted, dazed, irritable and nervous, with depressive traits and fear of all animals. Thoughts and speech are dominated by negative sensations, mainly before bed rest.

Dosage forms of China officinalis
Oral or parenteral therapy with potencies from 2X has proven effective.
China officinalis dosage
To treat acute symptoms, China officinalis is usually given in a 6X potency three times a day and in a 12X potency twice a day. In the case of highly acute symptoms, the potency 6X can be given at short intervals. As soon as the symptoms improve, the dose intervals are increased.
Chronic complaints are treated by therapists with high C potencies. The drug is administered at intervals of several weeks to months.

China officinalis acts on the central nervous system, respiratory tract, digestive tract, skin and female genital organs.
China officinalis in pregnancy
China officinalis is given to pregnant women when they experience gas and bloating immediately after eating. The abdomen is bloated and very sensitive. Even touching the clothes is felt to be unbearable.
The homeopathic remedy is given to women after childbirth when they have lost a lot of blood and are very exhausted. The remedy can also be helpful when breastfeeding causes excessive exhaustion in women. The face is pale and may have a yellowish discoloration. The women suffer from headaches, which are made worse by cold and drafts.
China officinalis for the baby
China officinalis is often given to babies after birth when they are suffering from shortness of breath or jaundice. The newborn is limp, drinks poorly and seems lethargic.
When babies experience bloating and abdominal cramps after every meal, China officinalis can be helpful. If the air comes out when belching or as flatulence, the abdominal pain does not get better.
China officinalis for dogs, horses and cats
China officinalis is considered a good remedy to strengthen after a debilitating illness. The animals are extremely exhausted and weak after losing bodily fluids such as diarrhea, sweating or blood from injuries. Trembling in the joints and extremities is noticeable.
The homeopathic remedy is also often given for colic with a large accumulation of gas. The animals cannot bear touch very well. However, firm pressure improves the symptoms.
China officinalis side effects
China officinalis should not be taken in the mother tincture during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you are known to be hypersensitive to quinine, the remedy should not be taken up to potency D6 and potency C3.
Hypersensitivity reactions such as fever or allergic skin reactions have been observed in rare cases up to potency 6X. From the potency D6 there are no more indications of side effects. Only at the beginning of the treatment and if taken too frequently can the condition worsen. The intake is then to be paused.
