Medorrhinum is used in homeopathy for all signs of a latent gonorrhea infection such as bad breath, mouth ulcers/on the tongue, constant itching in the anal/genital region accompanied by reddening of the skin, discharge smelling like fish and chronic conjunctivitis.
It is used for chronic skin rashes such as diaper rash and other red sore itchy rashes. It is used for pain in the sacroiliac joint that extends into the thighs, for painful joint swelling and for severe flatulence, nausea and vomiting.

In the case of acute skin inflammation or rheumatic complaints, a dose of the potency D12 is taken up to three times a day, alternating with other homeopathic remedies tailored to the clinical picture.

Medorrhinum in pregnancy
Medorrhinum is suitable for pregnant women who suffer from particularly heavy, regular vomiting. On a psychological level, these patients often have no connection to pregnancy; they appear very distant and unemotional towards the growing fetus.
In addition to highly potentized Tuberculinum, Luesinum and Sulfur, the remedy is another component of the so-called “standardized eugenic cure”. This is carried out before pregnancy and is aimed at patients with a tendency to miscarriage. The cure should always be carried out under professional supervision and, if possible, individualized.
Medorrhinum for the baby
Medorrhinum is given to babies with stubborn diaper rash. The skin is fiery red, swollen and hot to the touch. Babies often sleep on their knees and elbows. They are irritable and jumpy. Persistent cough in babies is often treated with Medorrhinum when it occurs between 3 and 5 am and is relieved by placing the babies on their stomachs.
