What is phosphoric acid and how AND HOW IT IS it is used
Phosphoric acid in nature is particularly abundant in mammalian bones: it plays a fundamental role in cells, as it is contained in nucleic acids (RNA, DNA), nucleotides (AMPc, ATP) and is able to release high amounts of energy for cellular needs by hydrolysis.
As for its use, we know that phosphoric acid was used in the past in the medical field for the treatment of rickets, hemorrhages and impotence. Today it is used in dentistry as a solution to clean and roughen the surface of the teeth in the areas where to apply fillings or dental appliances. It is also used in many toothpastes or tooth lightening treatments and is an ingredient in anti-nausea medications.
Most of the phosphoric acid produced, however, is intended for the production of phosphate fertilizers, detergents, fertilizers and additives for synthetic feed.
Phosphoricum acidum: homeopathic remedy
The homeopathic preparation of Phosphoricum acidum is obtained by diluting the element in water for the first three dynamizations and in pure alcohol from the fourth onwards.
Phosphoricum acidum is indicated:
- At the neurological level: in depressions with nervous exhaustion characterized by deep asthenia and a sharp decrease in memory; in headaches or after-effects from excessive intellectual fatigue such as students prostrated by study or in any case as a result of a very strong period of work stress;
- At the level of the digestive system: in acute and chronic diarrhea, not painful but exhausting, characterized by meteorism and abdominal dilation;
- At a general level: in the disorders of bone growth, due to excessive loss of phosphorus and calcium through the urine, with intense pain in the periosteum; as a support to asthenia from acute debilitating diseases that result in loss of body fluids; in early hair and hair loss following emotional shocks or sudden bereavement.
This remedy is suitable: in acute and chronic cases; in children; in boys of pubertal age; in the elderly and in subjects particularly passionate, emotional and often unable to adapt and neutralize emotional stresses.
Phosphoricum acidum in case of asthenia
As we have just seen Phosphoricum acidum is one of the remedies indicated in case of asthenia. The term asthenia comes from the Greek “astenos” which means “devoid of strength”. Asthenia or fatigue is a condition characterized by weakness, more or less marked, at the muscular level and by a decrease in the energy of the whole organism.
Recognizing the origin of asthenia is extremely complex because many conditions (pathological and otherwise) can trigger it. In a more general sense it is an important spy of something that does not work regularly, a message of the body that “abandons”, that can no longer manage the energies. The type Phosphoricum acidum is generally of longilinear constitution, it is a rapidly grown subject that tends to bone growth disorders with frequent painless diarrhea and calcium phosphate losses.
His appearance is pale and sickly, he has sunken eyes and surrounded by bluish halos, he is also listless and apathetic, he does not want to talk and is troubled by sorrow.
