Schuessler Salt No. 21 Zincum chloratum

Schuessler Salt No. 21, Zincum chloratum (zinc chloride), is considered helpful for allergies and to strengthen the immune system. Zincum chloratum is also said to support the body in eliminating heavy metals and building connective tissue, bones, cartilage, tendons and ligaments. Read more about the effects and uses of zinc chloride here.

What is Schuessler Salt No. 21: Zincum chloratum

Alongside iron, zinc is the most common trace element in the human body and fulfills many important functions. Among other things, zinc is an important protection for the membrane of every cell in the body. The Schuessler salt no. 21, zinc chloride or zinc chloratum, should therefore contribute to the stabilization of the cell membranes. According to the Schuessler theory, it has a positive effect on the function and moisture of the mucous membrane (digestive tract) and on the nerve sheaths in particular. Zinc chloride is said to be well suited to strengthening weak nerves due to its involvement in nerve metabolism. It is also used for cramps.

However, Schuessler salts are not a dietary supplement. They only contain the eponymous salt in homeopathic doses and therefore cannot directly compensate for a corresponding salt deficiency.

Zincum chloratum is also said to strengthen the immune system, help with allergies and eliminate heavy metals. The aim of taking it is to alleviate symptoms that are similar to those that would occur with a corresponding salt deficiency. The Schuessler salt should also work if there is a completely different cause behind the symptoms.

According to Schuessler experts, the mineral salt zinc chloride helps build cartilage, bones, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments, as it is involved in the body’s own formation of collagen and elastin. These two building blocks are important for the elasticity and strength of the connective tissue.

The Schuessler Salt No. 21 is one of the so-called supplementary salts, which follow the 12 basic salts according to Dr. Schuessler’s death were added. is part of the antioxidant mixture according to Schuessler. In addition to zinc chloride, these include Schuessler salts No. 3 (Ferrum phosphoricum), No. 6 (Kalium sulfuricum), No. 10 (Natrium sulfuricum), No. 17 (Manganum sulfuricum), No. 19 (Cuprum arsenicosum) and No. 26 (selenium). In alternative medicine, antioxidant means that the effect of harmful free radicals (aggressive oxygen compounds) is weakened and the effect of “oxidative stress ” is reduced. Diseases caused by this should be able to be combated by antioxidants such as Zincum chloratum.

Locations for Zincum chloratum

The Schuessler theory does not name any special stores for zinc chloride. However, zinc is an essential trace element and is involved in many metabolic processes. There is a particularly large amount of zinc in the spleen and in lymphocytes (special white blood cells). Around 200 enzymes in the human body also contain zinc.

Symptoms and diseases of Zincum chloratum deficiency

According to the Schuessler theory, if there is a zinc chloride deficiency, the following symptoms and diseases can occur and can possibly be compensated for by the administration of Zincum chloratum:

  • light-sensitive eyes, disorders of light-dark adaptation
  • poor wound healing, abscesses, boils, mucosal problems, hair loss, brittle or ridged nails
  • osteoporosis
  • Stretch marks in the connective tissue/pregnancy marks
  • Coordination disorders, paralysis of the facial nerves, restless legs (restless legs syndrome), nerve pain, multiple sclerosis and epilepsy
  • Kidney inflammation, irritable bladder, bladder muscle paralysis
  • diabetes
  • Insomnia, nervousness, restlessness, stress
  • whooping cough, asthma nervosum
  • Gastrointestinal spasms, nervous diarrhea
  • In children: growth retardation, nervous vomiting, delayed sexual development
  • Infertility without organic causes (Zincum chloratum is one of the remedies that are considered suitable Schuessler salts if you want to have children)

Alternative practitioners like to administer Zincum chloratum in chronic diseases that lead to increased zinc excretion, for example to help the liver with alcohol withdrawal, in immunodeficiency and to support athletes.

Persistent and severe symptoms can underlie serious conditions such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis, which definitely require a doctor’s visit. In these cases, it is not advisable to treat yourself with Schuessler salts on your own! However, Schuessler salts such as Zincum chloratum can be given in addition to conventional medical therapy for such diseases.

Zincum chloratum application

Zincum chloratum is suitable for internal and external use.

Internal use of Zincum chloratum

Depending on the type and extent of the symptoms, the naturopath chooses between one and several tablets a day. Zincum chloratum is usually given in the potentization D12 (sometimes also as D6). Each tablet is designed to slowly dissolve in the mouth so that the mineral salt is absorbed directly through the oral mucosa. Dissolving in hot water (as with the “Hot Seven”, Magnesium phosphoricum, Schuessler Salt No. 7 ) is not recommended for zinc chloride – as for all supplementary salts.

According to the Chinese organ clock, each organ has its so-called maximum time when it runs at full speed. It is sometimes recommended to take this into account and start taking a salt that acts specifically on this organ just before the maximum time. Zincum chloratum should therefore be taken between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. This is when the thyroid, pancreas and pituitary glands are at their most active.

External use of Zincum chloratum

For use on the skin, a mash of Schuessler salts 21 tablets can be mixed.

Characteristic causes of Zincum chloratum deficiency

The alternative healing method according to Schuessler states that there is a connection between character structures and a mineral salt deficiency. According to this, compulsive character traits should particularly draw on the reserves of a mineral salt. However, that does not mean that the character can be changed by taking a Schuessler salt. According to Schuessler, however, a mineral salt should help those affected to deal with their problematic character structures by dissolving inner blockages and correcting a biochemical imbalance.

For Zincum chloratum, the Schuessler healing method states that people who doubt themselves, are insecure, like to see themselves as victims, often blame themselves and have low self-esteem, attack their zinc chloride reserves in the long term. Strengthening your own self-confidence can therefore help to prevent a deficiency.

Signs of deficiency on the face

Schuessler believed that a lack of mineral salts can be recognized by an expert look at a person’s face (face diagnosis). A light stripe around the lips is said to be typical of a Zincum chloratum deficiency.

Other important information about Zincum chloratum

Prolonged use of hormone preparations or antibiotics can throw the zinc balance out of balance.

Zinc chloratum is usually combined with the following base salts: calcium phosphoricum, potassium phosphoricum and magnesium phosphoricum.
